Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or Mathematics required. (Master’s Degree is a plus.)
Minimum 5 yrs. experience in data architecture --- designing, testing, deploying, and managing scalable reference data architectures for use by cross-functional teams.
Minimum 5 yrs. experience with designing and building operational and analytical data models.
Demonstrated successful experience with designing and deploying big data concepts and technologies required.
Hands on experience with streaming data architectures and message queues are required.
Strong experience with ETL design, development and management are required.
Experience with SQL and complex query writing is required.
Experience and understanding of big data technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, NoSQL etc…
Experience working with Postgres, DW solutions (Redshift/BigQuery/Teradata) and/or other related database technologies is required.
Experience with result-set performance tuning and related data administration is required.
Knowledge of cloud computing for data infrastructures (preferably AWS, GCP or Cloudera certified architect).
Experience with data security and privacy methodologies is required.
Experience with data quality management and administration is required.
Experience with FTP, sftp, file transfers, data exchange methodologies is required.
Experience and understanding of various statistical modeling tools and platforms -- including R, Python -- is required.
Experience with R and Python is beneficial.
Experience in e-commerce, IOT, app messaging, Airline services, Telecom, and other datasets is beneficial.
Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub or Amazon Kinesis is beneficial.
Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence methods and practice is beneficial.
Understanding and experience with database technologies are beneficial including Oracle, SQLServer, etc..
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Understanding and experience with BI technologies are beneficial: Tableau, Microstrategy, Microsoft, OBI, etc.
A solid understanding of the methodology, data, and systems from a broad range of research and analytics providers, including emerging tools and methods.
Ability to distill complex statistical concepts and methodology, and articulate insights to cross-functional teams and clients with varying levels of knowledge in this space.
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Great teamwork skills and the ability to partner with data science/analytics/software team members to ensure efficient data ingestion and extraction methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical design documentation.
Ability to work effectively in the fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
Dynamic personality and passion for data and analytics are very important for this role.
