The Role
Adeo Group is looking for an enthusiastic Software Test Engineer / QA Tester to join our busy team. The role involves automated and manual testing of various software development projects we work on, including mobile apps to meet customer and market expectations.

You can report issues efficiently and work effectively with all teams, from developers to customer support and sales. Your approach is thorough and methodical; you exhaust every potential risk to help teams deliver products that are world class. You are an excellent communicator and are self-motivated; you have an exceptional can-do attitude that inspires and motivates others.
Role
You will be responsible for carrying out manual testing on various websites and mobile applications, assessing the right processes and best practices for manual testing, as well as continually increasing test coverage. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to consistently improve quality and performance through these websites and mobile apps releases.
- Execute functional, user acceptance tests and regression tests to deliver stable releases
- Communicate problems directly with developers and via a defect tracking tool
- Assist with customer issue investigations alongside the front-line support team
- Test planning and writing of cases and scenarios for new developments, as well as documenting and maintaining existing test plans
- Assist the QA Manager to agree the testing approach and priorities for tests
- Assist the QA Manager and other teams with the creation of documentation for releases
- Have some customer contact, primarily via the telephone and share screens, using testing tools like smartlook.com
Competencies
Essential
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and software
- Experience of the full development lifecycle from specifications through to deployment
- Experience writing and performing test cases, test suites and test plans
- Experience with defect tracking tools
- Experience in manual and automated testing of LAMP-based web-stacks (eg selenium, etc)
Highly Desirable
- Experience in manual mobile testing; primarily on Android and iOS platforms
- Experience with Test Case Management tools
Desirable
- Experience in automated browser testing
- Experience in automated mobile testing
- Experience with Continuous Integration
- Experience with Load Performance Testing
Working Hours
UK standard 9:00 AM GMT to 5:30 PM GMT
Pakistan: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
