Sr. Software Engineer - Python - PHP Full Stack

The applicant may also be offered the position of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) depending upon experience and skill level. The Founder of the company is an advertising industry veteran and was among the only two Pakistanis selected for the MIT Global Entrepreneurship Boot Camp in 2017 based on this Idea.

We need a Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer / PHP Full Stack Developer with a strong hands on experience in Python and a strong computer vision background. Experience in any other back end language (e.g. GoLang) related to computer vision / image processing would also work.  

The Ideal Candidate should have experience in Computer Vision, Image processing, Python, Open CV, handling web based API’s and third party API's, handling SQL and No SQL data bases and with some hands on experience in PHP and Android Apps / Java. Working knowledge of Python with a back ground in computer vision / Image processing is a MUST.

Some hands on experience/certifications in machine learning / deep learning / big data / cloud architecture development would be preferred. Some hands on knowledge of business intelligence tools such Microsoft BI, Tableau would be a plus point. The applicant would be paid a monthly salary as well, along with equity. The equity would depend upon the applicant's skill level, experience, education etc. The company has a working product ready and is going to launch its operations within one month. 

This is a Team Lead position. We're looking for somebody who has at least 1+ years of experience in leading team and has a hands-on (proven) development experience with an impressive portfolio and verifiable references. Fresh graduates who have demonstrated leadership in their universities and have completed some interesting projects in the field of computer vision / image processing can also apply. Candidates from Lahore or those who are already working in Lahore would be preferred.

Detailed Job Requirements:

.       Must have hands on working experience in Python / Any other back end language related to computer vision / Image Processing

.       Experience working with Open CV, Computer Vision and Image Processing Frame Works and technologies. Prior work on an object detection / recognition / facial detection / recognition project would be a plus point

.       Experience with unit testing and source code control

·       Solid trouble shooting, bug tracking, and quality assurance methodologies

·       Ideal candidates should understand object oriented development, and apply OO concepts to everything they do. Formal CS background or experience essential.

·       Experience with integrating and implementing third party APIs, and 3rd party platforms and libraries such as Google Vision API, and multiple Computer Vision API’s, Social Network integrations (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) enabling social media integration and scalability

.       Hands on experience in working with Machine Learning Algorithms, Deep Learning / Machine Learning Frameworks such as Tensor Flow, Keras, MATLAB, R etc. would be PREFERRED

·       Experience of working in a team development setting, using source code control        

.       Basic Networking Experience

·       Experience in PHP5 and PHP7 or similar frameworks - familiarity with the latest features in PHP, particularly in Laravel Framework

·       MySQL - Modern database development expertise, words like 'trigger' and 'view' should be part of your vocabulary

·       Experience of working with Amazon Web Services and RDBS in AWS - Should be familiar with EC 2 and other aspects of cloud architecture

.       The Ideal candidate should have experience of working with No SQL Data Bases such as Mongo DB etc. as well

·       Developing and/or designing large web systems, Elastic Search

.       Web Services - Experience building modern web services using XML and compatible with Mobile App platforms.

·       Object Oriented Design and Development.

·       Database and Platforms Linking

·       Proficient in hand coding HTML and CSS

·       Support existing bespoke PHP developed application systems flows.

·       Write clean, well-engineered code that conforms to accepted standards, and test web applications.

·       Experience of working with software development project team and be able to deliver on strict deadlines.

·       Ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently (often concurrently).

·       Undertake regular reviews of all system logs and resolve any issues identified.

·       Flexible: Reacts positively to new ideas and suggestions.
