Head of Technology

We are looking for a “Head of Technology” to join the ACE Money Transfer team, a fast-growing Fintech company in United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and Australia.

ACE Money Transfer is providing end-to-end remittance services that exploits technology as a competitive advantage. We help our customers to Transfer their hard-earned money through our digital apps or website.

We have built our own Remittance Management System, Treasury Management System, AMS, CRM, HRMS and a few other customised software that meet our requirements.

Out teams ensure Digital product management, user experience/design, cloud architecture, software development, data insights and intelligence, cyber security, emerging tech, and quality assurance ensures that we are delivering solutions that address our business needs.

The candidate should know how to help a team succeed in the current initiatives and set the groundwork for innovation and greater performance for our existing platform.

Head of Technology will be a key member of the senior management team, and will lead a growing team of software engineers, reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Define, architect, and execute the organizational and infrastructure plan required to fulfil the company’s business and technology strategies.
• Supervise and help to implement all functional areas of technology including software design and development, enterprise architecture, quality assurance and testing, production operations and technical support, network and systems administration, and information security management.
• Grow and scale the team by recruiting world-class technical talent as needed. Create and foster an environment conducive to innovation, high productivity, and high quality.
• Provide leadership to development projects that improve the functionality, reliability, scalability, and security of the company’s applications and systems.
• Drive a software development lifecycle process and culture that ensures the appropriate balance in which quality products are produced in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ensure sound architectural designs are implemented and advocate for best practices and processes.
• Create a strong internal culture to manage technology projects with accurate time estimates, adherence to deadlines, and strong communication to stakeholders.
• Oversee the technology organization’s information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
• Work in partnership with internal functional teams as a technology partner in forwarding business capabilities.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enable better reporting, information flow and efficiency of software services.
• Create policies, procedures and processes related to Software Project management and software engineering in a rapidly growing environment.
• Oversee code audits and performance appraisals in the organization to improve the quality of deliverables.
• Play a mentor’s role with project managers and help them maintain software development and QA standards in their respective projects.
• Introduce new software engineering processes in place of the old ones to keep the organization abreast with the latest industry practices.
• Ensure end-to-end implementation of organizational-wide processes.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Professional degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering.
• 10 plus years of proven experience as a dynamic leader of a high-growth fintech organizations. Payments experience a major plus.
• Expertise of Program Management and managing Software Systems, Web and Mobile applications, UI/UX Design, Cloud Architecture, Software Development, Data Insights & Intelligence, and Cyber Security
• Extensive experience with Python + Django + MySQL+ Flutter.
• Agile development experience can give a competitive edge.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both technical and business staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Extensive experience in managing remote teams
