Head of Student Affairs & PR - Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Karimabad

Head of student affairs & PR will be responsible for the following:

  1. Coordinate student activities and programs including the admission process
  2. Promote and mentor student leaders from a variety of social and economic backgrounds
  3. Coordinate application process for awards, scholarships and financial assistance.
  4. Distribute application forms and provide information on procedures and deadlines.
  5. Verify that student files are complete and, as required, ensures necessary linkage with admissions process
  6. Liaises with students, teaching staff, departments, faculties, and university and governmental authorities.
  7. Provides explanations related to academic regulations, student records, programs and calendars
  8. Controls enrolment in Boards. Compile information verifies and updates timetables and calendar entries.
  9. Coordinates submission to central scheduling system and acts as a contact person for the unit.
  10. Maintains a current file of courses, calendars, programs, students and graduates
  11. Obtains and compiles grades.
  12. Completes and verifies lists of examination results.
  13. Selects and adapts the calculation formula according to the grading system given by the Vice-Principals.
  14. Verifies and corrects transcripts. Identifies and verifies files of graduating students
  15. Ensures that tuition fees and other student fees are properly assessed.
  16. Verifies attendance of the students and ensure follows up on these cases
  17. Identifies and verifies files of graduating students.
  18. Prepares forms requesting Certificates and lists of graduating students.
  19. Prepares documents for Merit Citation, attends and assists with this event
  20. Maintains filing system and prepares material for archiving.
  21. Performs data entry and updating of student files. Resolves related problems
  22. Produces reports and statistics involving the determination of variables, sorting queries and the selection of format
  23. Coordinates publication of materials in consultation with appropriate resource persons for Prospectus and College Magazine
  24. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current policies, procedures and regulations
  25. Track alumni
  26. Responsible for Career Counseling sessions
  27. Liaison with companies for internships

The ideal candidate must have master degree with at least 3-5 years of experience in relevant field; have effective management team leading and student counseling skills, a strong command over MS Office and be able to work efficiently under pressure.
