The incumbent will report to the CFO at the Central Office and respective general manager of the region and will be responsible for
· Financial management (revenues and expenditures)
· Staff management,
· Other resource acquisition which includes preparing and monitoring budgets of premier institutions, and other units in GB,
· Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly administered, monitored and recorded,
· Ensuring that appropriate financial & tax regulations and controls are in place,
· Preparing and reviewing detailed budgets for all units of AKES,P Gilgit Baltistan,
· Timely reporting of accounting records to the Central Office and meeting all the pre-agreed deadlines,
· Ensuring adequate assignment of responsibilities to all the staff including project staff so that each function is adequately managed, staffed and resourced,
· Reviewing the performance of each staff member,
· Conducting regular visits to schools and RSDUs to monitor and review financial procedures and assist field staff, where appropriate,
· Making regular visits to all units including those in remote areas to ensure all incomes are duly accounted for and deposited in a timely manner.

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls.
