- The Student Counselors will be responsible for executing the AKES,P’s student counseling and support programme, including following the strategic framework programmer and helping students with social, academic and disciplinary issues and challenges.
- The Counselors will also evaluate students’ abilities and interests and help them develop realistic academic and career goals.
- They will work at the school level to disseminate effectively and creatively all kinds of resources related to career guidance and life skills to students, parents, teachers and school leaders.
- The Student Counselors will work closely with Principals/School Heads and Regional Coordinators to ensure the smooth functioning of student counseling programmers in schools.

Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES,P) is a network of educational institutions that combines the operation of 159 schools and 5 hostels with the management of programmes to enhance the quality of teachers, academic resources and learning environments in Pakistan through community partnerships and long-term interventions. It is one of the largest third-sector networks of educational institutions in Pakistan and part of an international network of over 200 schools spread in 8 countries of the world under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers. In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan.
