The Import & Export Finance Executive position at Agay Barho is designed for an experienced accounting and finance professional with a strong background in import/export finance, banking documentation, costing, and inventory management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle comprehensive accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in banking documentation, accounting, and financial reporting, preferably in manufacturing, packaging, or industrial sectors. An ACCA finalist, ICMA qualified, or CA Inter/Finalist qualification is highly preferred to ensure a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles. In this role, the executive manages critical finance functions including handling letters of credit, banking correspondence, and contract documentation associated with import/export transactions. The position demands close coordination with banks on financing facilities and credit arrangements while ensuring compliance with financial and inventory controls. Though this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it requires strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with production, store, and management departments. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software is essential to perform analytical tasks and prepare detailed financial reports that aid in budgeting and internal controls.
Responsibilities

  • Manage all banking and financial documentation processes, including letters of credit, import/export finance, contract documentation, and loan agreements.
  • Coordinate with banking institutions to secure financing facilities, oversee running finances, and maintain credit arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records through ledger management, voucher entries, receivables, payables, and bank reconciliation.
  • Conduct regular monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with precision and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Develop and oversee costing procedures including job costing, pre-costing, and post-costing activities to ensure precise project expense tracking.
  • Supervise inventory and store closing activities, ensuring accurate stock valuation and effective inventory control.
  • Collaborate with production, store, and management teams to provide essential data for cost analysis and financial decision-making.
  • Assist management with budgeting processes, preparation of comprehensive financial reports, and implementation of effective internal financial controls.
  • Prepare detailed analytical and financial reports for management review to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
  • Employ strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and maintain high standards of financial accuracy.
  • Utilize advanced MS Excel skills and accounting software packages for data management, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Adhere to company policies and industry regulations in all accounting and finance operations, ensuring transparency and compliance.
