Agay Barho is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations of its corrugated paper, carton, and exercise books production facility in Sudan and the USA. The Production Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules, implementing quality management systems, and applying enterprise resource planning software for tracking progress and reporting. The position demands a hands-on approach to identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, maintaining safety and environmental standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. By utilizing conflict resolution tools and leading process improvement initiatives, this role contributes significantly to the companys sustained operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed production plans that align with customer demand and company objectives, optimizing capacity and resource allocation.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, enhance process efficiency, and lower production costs without sacrificing quality.
- Monitor quality control processes rigorously to ensure that all products, including corrugated paper, cartons, and exercise books, meet established standards.
- Oversee inventory management to maintain appropriate stock levels of raw materials and prevent production delays or excess inventory.
- Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to monitor production schedules, track workflow, and generate reports supporting continuous operational improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance to harmonize production activities and streamline operations.
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) that meet regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks for manufacturing excellence.
- Identify and analyze process inefficiencies or bottlenecks and develop actionable solutions to increase production speed and reliability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of operational processes and collaborate with relevant personnel to address issues constructively.
- Manage the allocation and scheduling of resources including machinery, labor, and materials to ensure production deadlines are consistently met.
- Prepare detailed production performance metrics and operational reports for senior management to facilitate informed strategic decisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations to maintain workplace safety and minimize environmental impact.
