Agay Barho is seeking a motivated and results-driven Retail Business Development Executive to join our dynamic sales team. This role focuses on outbound sales calls, lead generation, and customer follow-ups to promote retail solutions to diverse businesses such as supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, wholesalers, and retail stores. The Retail Business Development Executive will focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships while effectively managing sales pipelines through CRM systems. This role involves diligent follow-ups, market research, and data analysis to identify and convert sales opportunities. Though this position does not involve team management responsibilities, it demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate with internal teams for deliveries and installations to ensure superior customer satisfaction and sustained business development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 60 to 100 outbound calls daily to potential and existing customers including retailers, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, and wholesale businesses.
- Introduce company products, services, and current promotions clearly and persuasively to generate interest.
- Follow up promptly with previous customers and pending quotations to maximize sales conversion.
- Promote bundled packages, monthly offers, and accessories to upsell and increase order value.
- Identify and approach new business prospects using online platforms and business directories to expand customer base.
- Collect and maintain accurate contact information of business owners and update leads in CRM systems or Excel sheets regularly.
- Explain product features and benefits effectively and provide quotations and catalogs through appropriate communication channels, including WhatsApp.
- Convert inquiries into confirmed sales orders by addressing questions and handling objections professionally.
- Manage customer follow-ups based on lead priority: same-day for hot leads, 2-3 days for warm leads, and weekly for long-term prospects.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with shop owners, dealers, and supermarket managers through diligent communication and feedback collection.
- Respond to all customer inquiries on WhatsApp promptly and document all customer interactions in CRM systems for accurate sales tracking.
- Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for field sales staff and coordinate with technical, support, delivery, and installation teams as needed.
- Maintain detailed daily reports on outbound calls, new leads generated, quotations sent, orders confirmed, follow-ups completed, customer issues, and total sales value.
- Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) including call volumes, lead generation, appointment booking, and sales conversion rates.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and handle objections with confidence to close deals successfully.
- Use data analysis and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Maintain regular self-review of performance and proactively seek ways to improve sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated with retail industry trends, competitor offerings, and new sales techniques to remain competitive in the market.
