Aims & Desire seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Truck Dispatcher with at least one year of experience to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate excels in communication and customer service and is adept at handling dispatch operations efficiently during the night shift. This role involves coordinating the scheduling and routing of trucks, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent relationships with drivers and customers. The Truck Dispatcher plays a vital role in optimizing transportation processes to meet company standards and client expectations.
The Truck Dispatcher communicates clearly with both drivers and clients, resolving issues promptly and using customer relationship management tools to track and manage orders. This position requires strong problem-solving skills to address scheduling changes, route adjustments, and unexpected challenges. Operating during night hours, the candidate must be disciplined and capable of working independently to maintain smooth logistics flow without direct management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule truck drivers for timely pick-up and delivery of goods.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure clear understanding of routes, delivery schedules, and client requirements.
- Use customer relationship management (CRM) systems to log and track shipment details and customer interactions.
- Monitor truck locations and delivery progress to address delays or issues promptly.
- Resolve delivery or routing problems quickly by evaluating the situation and communicating solutions with drivers and customers.
- Maintain up-to-date records of dispatch activities, driver status, and shipment documentation.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics personnel to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Ensure compliance with transportation policies and safety regulations during dispatch operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns related to deliveries.
- Work independently during night shifts, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in managing dispatch duties.
