Manager Finance

The Manager, Finance provides support and assistance to the Sr. Finance Manager in running and managing the day to day operations, performance and production of the Finance department and individual team members. They would plan for, oversee and administer the weekly workload of the team members and department, ensuring timely processing of all aspects of the accounting and financial functions. They participate in strategic departmental and company financial initiatives, providing top company management guidance, supported by relevant reports to make educated and calculated decisions related to budgets, spending, and the company’s current and future financials/standing.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Familiar with and able to prepare, read and run financial and taxation reports, balance schedules, and monthly financial reviews

• Prepare, process and report on department/company budgets, funds, monthly payroll, and receivables/payables

• Coordinate statutory audit requirements and independent auditors

• Oversee and process (if necessary) petty cash management

• Work with team members and Admin to ensure smooth and timely processing of payroll, payables, receivables, invoicing, etc.

• Strong understanding of and ability to prepare and read financial reports, pivot tables and graphs

• Prepare and forecast financial trends, cash flows and budgets

• Maintain professional behavior and foster a healthy work environment

• Work and interact with cross functional and inter-departmental stakeholders

• Take initiative to look for cause/affect, problem resolution, and timely delivery of operational targets and meeting of deadlines

• Implement process and policy

• Work with and manage the performance and production of 3-4 persons team

• Work with vendors and other departments to negotiate vendor agreements as per process and policy

• Take ownership of departmental targets, activities and team member deliverables

• Sensitive to propriety and confidentiality of data/information

• Work closely with each team member to administer and achieve quarterly/annual goals/objectives, reviews and succession planning

• Provide constructive and objective feedback to sub-ordinate/team members

Qualifications

· Masters in Finance, CA, or ACCA

· Min experience of 7 years in similar role

· Experienced super user in ERP and MS Excel. SAP and/or other accounting/reporting software a plus

· Must be proficient in spoken and written English and Urdu

Skills

· Strong analytical and reporting skills

· Knowledgeable about local taxation and corporate laws/legislature

· Familiar with statutory audit requirements

· Understanding of import/export duty/tax requirements a plus
