As an Interior Designer managing a small team of two, this position demands strong leadership and coordination skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and clients. The candidate will oversee furniture and FF&E coordination, ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards, and balance creativity with practicality to meet project deadlines. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative interior design concepts and layouts that meet client requirements and aesthetic standards.
- Conduct space planning analyses to maximize functionality and flow within various project types including commercial, residential, and hospitality.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and lighting to create cohesive and appealing interior environments.
- Coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) selection, sourcing, and budgeting to ensure alignment with client specifications and project constraints.
- Utilize AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and other design tools to produce detailed drawings and presentations for client approval.
- Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead and supervise a team of two designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and resource allocation to ensure project success.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve design-related issues.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budget proposals, monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle for financial control.
- Stay updated on local construction practices, building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and innovation.
- Present design ideas and progress to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to meet project goals.
- Oversee on-site project activities to ensure alignment with design plans and proper implementation of all interior elements.
