Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently manage all aspects related to Oracle APEX development and support.
- Develop application in an Oracle Apex 19+ environment
- Customize generic Apex applications for customer facing and modify as necessary
- Maintain best practice development standards and maximize reusable code
- Participate in Application owner and Business User interviews to identify system functions and architectural and network related dependencies
- Consult on complex business issues and design considerations, data models and technical application framework
- Responsible for the identification and documentation of system requirements to enable the Technical Team to deliver the appropriate solution for successful transformation
- Participate in the development and execution of the user acceptance test plans, as well as schedule testing of APEX apps and upgrades/new code implementations
- Create new documentation and processes as needed to help refine, optimize, and/or to establish best practice APEX development standards Requirements
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Maximum 2 years professional experience
- 2 years Oracle database experience including database design, upgrades and performance tuning
- 2 years' experience supporting Oracle Databases, with upgrade experience a plus
- 2 years experience with Oracle APEX (prefer version 20 )
- Experience migrating code/pages/objects from dev/qa/production Apex environments
- Significant experience migrating entire APEX applications to new environments
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
- Oracle database experience with versions 11g and 12c
- Database design, optimization, and tuning
- 2 years of experience with SQL
- 2 years of experience with PL/SQL
- Experience with APEX 19+ features (jquery, declarative actions, etc)
- Ability to design for Industry Best Practice Design in Oracle APEX
- Knowledge of writing custom Authentication and Authorization security modules
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a 24 x 7 production environment, with multiple priorities
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Proficient SQL scripting skills including stored procedure, functions, and DDL
- Display a good understanding of both the RDBMS and the underlying operating system including but not limited to:
- Database performance tuning, replication, monitoring tools and tuning procedures
- Strong database management skills including backup and recovery best practices in a high-availability environment.
- Solid skills in productivity factors and the ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performance
- Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
- Strong skills in maintenance tools and best practices processes.
- Ability to work well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise
- Successful experience as a member of a project group
- Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and the ability to work in a team or independently in rapid environment
- Ability to independently provide time estimates for APEX related tasks
- Data modeling, data entity analysis, and database design skills may be required
