Al Riaz Chemicals is seeking a dedicated IT Assistant to provide technical support and maintain smooth operation of the company's IT systems. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelors degree, at least two years of relevant experience, and a strong foundation in IT troubleshooting. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills to resolve hardware, software, internet, and system-related issues efficiently. The IT Assistant works closely with other departments to support and enhance the technology infrastructure without managing a team, focusing on hands-on assistance and direct problem resolution.
The IT Assistant is responsible for responding promptly to user requests, diagnosing IT problems, and implementing practical solutions. This position demands a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can handle various technical challenges while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining system stability and productivity at Al Riaz Chemicals by executing standard IT support procedures and adapting to evolving technical needs in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and system issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot IT problems quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Assist users in resolving common technical difficulties through clear communication and step-by-step guidance.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software applications according to company standards.
- Monitor and maintain the health of computer systems, including performing regular maintenance tasks and updates.
- Document IT processes, incidents, and solutions to build and maintain a knowledge base for future reference.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to escalate and resolve complex issues beyond the scope of first-level support.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in compliance with company policies and security requirements.
- Support network connectivity issues, ensuring consistent internet and intranet access for all employees.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend procurement of necessary technology based on organizational needs.
- Assist in implementing IT policies and procedures, promoting compliance and security awareness across the company.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives aimed at improving system efficiency and user experience.
