We are seeking a highly skilled Cataract Surgeon responsible for performing high-volume cataract surgeries in surgical eye camp settings, ensuring exceptional patient care across the full cycle: assessment, surgery, and critical post-operative follow-up.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Surgical Execution: Perform cataract surgeries in high-volume settings (capable of 30–40 surgeries per day) under strict aseptic conditions, administering local anesthesia.
  • Pre-Operative Clearance: Conduct patient examinations, review files, confirm biometry, and ensure all informed consents are accurately signed. Counsel patients thoroughly regarding surgical outcomes.
  • Quality & Safety Oversight: Oversee the proper sterilization of instruments, inspect the Operation Theater for aseptic conditions, and confirm the availability of necessary IOLs and post-operative medications.
  • Post-Operative Care: Provide essential guidance on post-operative care, conduct immediate post-operative examinations before patient discharge, and perform the critical 1st post-operative day patient review.
  • Administrative & Compliance: Account for the total number of surgeries performed daily and ensure self-discipline, punctuality, and adherence to ACCO department protocols.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Expertise: FCPS in Ophthalmology / DOMS or equivalent qualification.

  • Capacity: Proven capability to perform 30–40 surgeries per day.
  • Knowledge: Expert working knowledge of ocular diseases, anatomy, and functions of the eye.
  • Skills: Strong medical knowledge, good administrative and managerial skills, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
