Al-Wareed Engineering (PVT) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team and oversee critical accounting functions with a focus on manufacturing and engineering services. This position requires strong expertise in budget preparation, forecasting, account reconciliation, and the use of ERP systems for streamlined accounting processes. The Senior Accountant leads the corporate tax filing process and champions tax software utilization to optimize tax management tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data, monitors internal controls, and ensures compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all accounting entries.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and collaborating with department heads.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, preparing all required documentation and addressing any inquiries.
- Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations by overseeing corporate tax filings, tax software management, and adherence to tax laws and guidelines.
- Develop and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify variances, risks, and improvement opportunities for cost management and operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor a team of two accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and engineering departments, to ensure alignment on financial processes and reporting.
- Utilize ERP systems to streamline accounting operations, improve data integrity, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards that impact the company.
- Assist in the development and refinement of accounting policies and procedures to support compliance and operational excellence.
