Accountant

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team and help manage the financial activities of our solar company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This position will report to the CFO and work closely with other members of the finance team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software, Microsoft Excel and other tools
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, including developing financial models and analyzing variances
Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
Provide financial analysis and support to other departments as needed
Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting field.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Experience with Microsoft Excel & other accounting softwares, preferably QuickBooks or similar
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
