THIS IS NOT A CALL CENTER JOB:
- Answers multi-line telephone system, takes accurate messages and transfers telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
- Routes trucks to various customer locations to maximize efficiency and cost.
- Creates and manages delivery schedules using industry-specific software.
- Greets and screens incoming calls/visitors in a professional manner and promptly notifies appropriate person of their arrival or direct them to the appropriate person.
- Operates standard office equipment including: multi-line telephone system, facsimile machine, copier, postage meter, calculator and computer/printer.
- Monitors machines, directing incoming and sending outgoing documents as requested.
- 2 years dispatching experience (including routing trucks), preferably in a warehouse/logistics environment.
- Well organized with ability to multi-task between dispatching crews and assisting customers
- Able to maintain composure/professional manner under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Communicates in a clear and friendly manner over the phone and face-to-face.
- Strong customer service problem solving skills.
- Available by phone on weekends and evenings.
