· To choose the appropriate suppliers to purchase from, do extensive industry research, meet with salespeople and compares their products and prices
· Responsible for managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness
· Negotiate Prices and Award Contracts/Orders
· Responsible for the preparation of purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures which includes floating enquiry, preparing comparison sheet & executing the order in ERP system
· Interacting with vendors & end user departments to coordinate, facilitate & resolve routine day to day procurement issues
- Coordinate with suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned
- Assist in managing and following up with orders
- Handling and monitoring of claims to vendors for defectives, shortage, missing goods
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with the suppliers
- Preparing and maintaining Procurement Register
- Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
- Responsible for handling air / sea shipment in coordination with Freight Forwarder
- To ensure use of proper safety procedures/policies while carrying out work activities as per company HSE policy and to undertake safety responsibilities
- Prepare submittals for procurement in line with the standard practice of the Clients
- Monitor, inspect the materials as prescribed builder quality standard
- Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies as per project requirement
- Attending client and suppliers meetings
