Job Description

·         Develop seasonal woven plan for all woven categories once designs and quantities have been finalized. Prepare a detailed budget/plan with timelines, pricing, suppliers (local and international) supported by detailed analysis. Execute on a timely basis

·         Identify and build relationships with quality woven suppliers, negotiate pricing/other terms, place orders and manage the time and action plans. Problem solve proactively to ensure timeliness and quality. Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.

·         Create a fabric/accessory sourcing strategy for the entire seasonal woven plan. Local vs international. Ready vs manufacturing

·         Ensure that quality, quantity standards and timelines of delivery are met

·         Manage, train and assist team of woven sourcing agents using process based approaches

·         Provide regular updates to Directors and get requisite approvals

·         Develop cost reduction strategies and efficiency enhancement plans

·         Develop production policies and procedures

·         Conduct market research to find and introduce best in class fabrication, techniques to company’s production department. Work on vendor skill development

·         Monitor and analyze sales records, trends, or economic conditions to anticipate company-buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed

·         Authorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise.

  • Lead international sourcing (China) ordering and process overview.


·         Technical knowledge of woven fabrics construction, treatments, sourcing and manufacturing processes and technique

·         In-depth knowledge, experience and expertise in running an end to end complicated production process – from fabric sourcing to dispatch of finished product to warehouse

·         Expertise in process management, problem solving and running a strong data driven process

·         Strong negotiation, problem solving, communications and conflict resolution skills

·         Strong excel, analytical, written and upward reporting skills
