Until and unless any special task assigned by a competent authority Field Coordinator will be mainly responsible for;

1.    Hold Initial meeting at field level with P representative and government line department to get the clarity of assignment and seeking their support in the monitoring process;

2.    Collect and study project proposals, contracts and other project documents (inception report, Implementation plans, targeted areas, progress reports etc.)  to get clarity on project design, flow, overall monitoring plan and budgeted activities;

3.    Coordinate with all concerned stakeholders and implementing partners of UNICEF for the provision of work plan, SitRep / output matrix and other related data, and make detail review of all the documents;

4.    Ensure submission of weekly / bi-weekly /monthly monitoring plan on structured format and share with WASH coordinator for critical review before carrying out monitoring services in field in order to ensure the development of most realistic monitoring plan as per UNICEF requirements;

5.    Carry out planned activities in close coordination with partner organization focal person and report back the observation and assessment on the given reporting format;

  1. Follow-up visits on action agreed with IP and reporting to WASH Coordinator.
  2. Visit IP office on monthly basis to verify / validate the progress mentioned by IP against monthly progress in output matrix sheet (ANNEX-6) through MOVs as per PCA result frame work;
  3. Generate video and audio recording of key PATS process from the field, gaps / issues in the programme activities and perceptions of the beneficiaries and key stakeholders regarding the programme;
  4. On regular basis share reports and pictures with WASH Coordinator.
  5. Updates and improve reports as per WASH coordinators instructions / feedback;
  6. Develop a situational report on monitoring and programmatic challenges (social and cultural constraints, migration trend, community participation etc.) on a monthly basis and submit to WASH coordinator;
  7. Identification of human interest stories and share theme with WASH Coordinators.
  8. Obtaining health surveillance data from respective health centers on a specified format (Form-4);
  9. Ensure  continuous coordination with WASH coordinator for assistance and field updates;
  10. Save all the pictures and  videos on  a CD /DVD and ensure to submit on a monthly basis to head office;
  11. Maintain proper record of field work plans, areas list, focal persons details, output matrix and other project related information;
  12. Ensure recording of field gaps / issues in programme activities, perception of beneficiaries and key stakeholders on diary and through audio / video record;
  13. Facilitate APEX and UNICEF representatives in the field;
  14. Participate in schedule monthly coordination and agenda setting meetings and other unscheduled meetings (seminar, workshop, events etc.) with prior approval of coordinator and share field findings and observations with coordinator /  UNICEF / IP;
  15. Ensure to develop and share minutes of meetings with WASH coordinator carrying out in field;
  16. Make vehicle arrangement for field visits in consultation with coordinator / finance officer;
  17. Maintain financial record on specific format and submit to provincial office along with original receipts on a monthly basis;
  18. Without any prior permission from coordinator do not allow to stop field operations against any reason;
  19. Collect substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are successfully submpetted to provincial office;
