We’re looking for an experienced General Manager to help establish and scale outsourced business functions of our fast-growing UK business. You will be the organizational leader of the Lahore office such that you will ensure that the requirements, dependencies, and business expectations are all aligned with the company's vision and commercial strategy.

You’ll work alongside the UK Senior Executive team, and will be given a very competitive package including a long-term incentive plan on meeting the company's growth objectives.

With increasing responsibility to save for retirement shifting from employer to the individual for senior executives, a vibrant ecosystem of wealth creators in the London entrepreneur community, and senior executives in the private equity and financial sector, there is a growing need for quality tailored advice. In addition to this, there is currently £5.5 trillion of wealth that will transfer between generations over the next 30 years, and we are at the forefront of this intra-generational wealth transfer.

The role

Working closely with the global CEO and senior leadership team based in London, UK, you will formulate and execute sales, marketing, and operational strategies to maximize business growth as we grow the country operations from ground zero and establish various business functions. This role is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial and will require the candidate to fully invest in the business for the next 3-5 years.

We’d expect the GM to lead the quarterly planning cycle, and then be responsible for ensuring it is effectively delivered. The GM will have overall responsibility across sales, marketing, and operational business functions and will be responsible for the running of the organization.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the global CEO in identifying the short and medium-term opportunities
  • Recruiting and Leading a hungry team of digital marketers, first-class lead generators, and operation and admin team members
  • Leading the strategic planning cycle, and the effective rollout (including defining KPIs, responsibilities etc.)
  • Improving people processes and organizational structure
  • Owning and Inspiring the team to join the company and deliver effectively; helping, alongside the CEO, to set the culture of the organization

Requirements

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced general manager who has worked in operations and leadership roles within a high-growth start-up/ scale-up preferably in the technology sector. We’d expect 8+ years of experience, and we're looking for:

  • A hungry and driven individual with an entrepreneurial zeal
  • Bachelor’s degree(min), MBA preferred from TopForeign/ local University
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in scaling companies, projects, or products
  • Real front-line operating and leadership experience in a scale-up or high growth business
  • 8+ years of experience in general management
  • A can-do attitude with the focus on delivering results and getting the job done - Strong ownership mind-set
  • 2-4+ years experience at top-tier MNCs and/ or fast growing technology companies. Coupled with real front-line operating and leadership experience
  • Well organized and previous project management / PMO experience
  • Experience in talent acquisition
  • Proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams, and of knowledge/ involvement in helping frame, design, and execute solutions for challenging business situations
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills – ability to manage through influence
