The Vehicle Tracking Officer plays a key role in supporting the logistical flow and security of the vehicle fleet by interpreting and responding to tracking information promptly. The role demands effective communication skills to coordinate with field personnel and management, ensuring that transportation schedules and delivery commitments are met. The officer must be able to work in person at the designated location, with a requirement to have personal bike conveyance for commuting. This position does not involve managing a team but requires strong self-management and coordination skills within the operational framework of AR Trakkers vehicle tracking department.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicle tracking systems and utilize GPS technology to monitor fleet movements in real time.
- Manage and update fleet status using fleet management software and ERP systems.
- Monitor vehicle routes to ensure adherence to scheduled paths and timelines.
- Alert relevant personnel and management promptly of any deviations or issues in vehicle movements.
- Coordinate effectively with drivers and logistics staff to provide timely and accurate tracking information.
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain detailed logs related to vehicle locations and activities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports on fleet utilization and tracking performance as required.
- Adhere to the companys attendance policies, working rotational shifts and maintaining punctuality.
- Support overall logistics operation by promptly sharing tracking information during emergency or operational adjustments.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tracking data and comply with company security protocols.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in vehicle tracking and fleet management processes.
