Areeb Areel Mart & Warehouse is seeking a reliable and diligent Mart Helper to support daily operations within our grocery and retail sections. The ideal candidate possesses at least one year of experience in grocery or retail environments, demonstrating a solid understanding of stock replenishment, merchandising, and customer service. This role demands strong time management and teamwork skills to maintain a smooth workflow and enhance the shopping experience for customers. The Mart Helper will perform essential tasks such as organizing inventory, assisting customers, and ensuring that the store environment remains clean and well-stocked.
This role does not involve managing a team but requires collaboration with various store staff members to maintain efficient operations. The Mart Helper will adhere to store processes like the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to manage stock freshness and minimize waste. The position is ideal for someone motivated to contribute actively to the store's success while working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the replenishment of stock to shelves, ensuring products are displayed neatly and according to merchandising guidelines.
- Support customer service efforts by greeting customers, responding to inquiries, and offering assistance in locating products.
- Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management to maintain product freshness and reduce spoilage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of daily operational tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including shelves, aisles, and storage rooms.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the store manager or supervisor promptly.
- Assist in unloading deliveries and checking incoming inventory for quality and accuracy.
- Follow all store policies and procedures to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage time effectively to complete assigned duties within scheduled shifts and support peak hours as needed.
- Contribute to merchandising efforts by arranging promotional displays and ensuring pricing labels are up to date.
