Reports To

The Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and Country Head.

Job Overview

Provide a high quality, effective financial accounting management framework for the organization. With strong management ability of the costing system and accounting process, while operating successfully in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Experience Minimum of five years in supervisory and/or operations support experience. Good knowledge of local Accounting Reporting Standards, with updated local Tax laws & regulations. Exposure and experience on project accounting, using current state software tools, will be advantageous.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications Bachelor's degree from accredited college or · university in accounting. CPA/CPD, equivalent certification and/or advanced degree preferred.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

AR Functions

  • Coordinate with project admin/support team on project signoff perform billing to customer on timely basis
  • Update and follow up customer's collection
  • Generate customer SOA and prepare AR aging report

AP Functions

  • Verify supplier's invoice and perform registration of invoices in ERP system on timely basis
  • Process payment to suppliers as per schedule
  • Process staff related payment/ reimbursements
  • Maintain Petty Cash float and record for routine requirements
  • Perform reconciliation of Vendors Sales/ Service Tax Invoices against Tax portals and follow up with vendors reconciliation on monthly basis

GL Functions

  • Perform relevant GL posting in ERP system
  • Prepare Balance Sheet and P/L related schedules on monthly basis
  • Perform bank reconciliation on monthly basis
  • Others Reporting and Finance Operations Support Functions
  • Provide support to the Finance Manager on weekly and monthly reporting functions
  • Prepare monthly WHT and Sales/Service Tax statements
  • Prepare monthly stock ledger report and perform reconciliation
  • Liaison with internal/external auditor's queries and provide support to finalize the audited financial statement/reports
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor/ Management
  • Minimum Requirements for this position
  • Ability to gather and analyze/synthesize data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis/synthesis process.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and influencing skills and practices.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing and management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; edit and use macros; import and export information).
  • Working knowledge of document control systems and databases.

  • PC proficiency is required, with strong working knowledge of current Microsoft Office software suite version.
  • Work effectively alone and as part of a team on projects.
