About The Project Manager Role:
Primary Role: Planning, overseeing and managing assigned projects to ensure that all necessary KPIs are set and project outcomes are achieved.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the executive leadership for the implementation of policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation in achieving organizational strategic and operational objectives.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Coordinate organizational resources and ensure flawless execution of projects
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Profile of an ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Project Management or related field.
- Minimum six (6) years of experience in Project Management, Operations Management or Strategic Management.
- Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Proven working experience in project management
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE II certification
- BSC and KPI-P Certifications are plus
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management, strategic planning, problem solving, and team building.
- Proposal & Business Writing Skills.
Primary Work Location: Djibouti (East Africa) with travel requirements to client locations at countries like Dubai, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Somalia
Employment Type: Contract (1 year initially)
