As the Governance & Compliance Manager at As-Suffa, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the companys operations fully comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Your primary focus is to develop and maintain effective governance frameworks and compliance procedures that support organizational integrity and risk management. You analyze and monitor compliance activities, conduct regular risk assessments, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the companys control environment. By advising management on evolving regulatory landscapes and governance best practices, you help As-Suffa sustain a culture of accountability and transparency.
In this role, you are responsible for preparing detailed compliance reports, coordinating internal audits, and managing follow-up actions to resolve any identified issues. You also deliver training and awareness sessions to staff to ensure compliance requirements are well understood and consistently applied. Keeping up to date with changes in laws, standards, and policies enables you to proactively recommend improvements, minimizing organizational risks. The role does not involve managing a team, but requires strong collaboration with various departments and external auditors to ensure seamless compliance and governance oversight.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks and compliance policies tailored to organizational needs.
- Ensure all company operations adhere to internal policies and applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
- Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring, internal reviews, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential governance risks.
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and maintain accurate and organized records for audit purposes.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, managing follow-up actions to address findings.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to management on governance, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Identify operational risks through continuous evaluation and recommend practical improvement measures to enhance controls.
- Design and deliver compliance training programs and awareness sessions to staff at various levels to promote adherence.
- Continuously monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and company policies to update compliance frameworks appropriately.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure alignment of governance objectives.
