IT Networks Engineer

Ascertia is hiring an experienced Junior IT Network Support Engineer.

The ideal candidate must have demonstrable experience in Software/ Hardware installation, maintenance and providing initial technical help. Installing, maintaining and supporting network communication. Should be able to work independently or as instructed by IT Manager and CTO / SMT etc.

Skills Required:

• Update regularly IT Manager on activities being performed to help prioritize support queries.
• Provide regular feedback to IT Manager via email, messenger or by meeting on the tasks at hand/done or to be done.
• Analyze the current infrastructure and R&D to improve the IT system.
• Conduct meetings when required with IT Manager to discuss, suggest and recommend to improve IT infrastructure and to immediately update him on any major/ minor issues in IT services.
• Assistance to Managing online critical systems.
• Only authorize to upload / download data from online servers by following instructions / procedure / documentation.
• Disaster report preparation to discuss with IT Manager & Management.
• Assist to manage Network management, Server Administration, take prevention measures and IT/ security Policies Implementation and critical services monitoring.
• Hardware troubleshooting, maintenance and Management.
• Ensure to assist the smooth operation of LAN & internet in order to provide maximum performance (99.9 %).
• Regularly monitor network bandwidth utilization. Manage and stream line network.
• Assistance to Undertake preventive measures, implements, maintains and monitors network and server security.
• Regularly monitor critical services that include online servers, online services (web, FTP, and mail), LAN servers, internet availability.
• Assistance to Administering and managing the servers that include Domain controller, Proxy server, mail server, database servers etc...
• For certain cases he should also be able to work independently.
• Assist to define and implement IT security policies, disaster prevention and disaster recovery plans for corporate IT infrastructure.
• Make it sure to implement IT security and disaster prevention and disaster recovery policies in corporate network environment.
• Update antivirus, antispyware, anti-spam, OS security updates and antivirus definitions.
• Troubleshoot and day by day hardware issues.
• Make it sure hardware and PC accessories are clean and regularly clean the hardware with the help of office boy.
• Make it sure hardware and system are proper managed and tags are attached.
• Manage Backup, Uploads / Download, inventory     
• As part of disaster prevention plan, assistance to backup critical data, source code, databases on defined network storage (weekly and monthly) or when required, burn backup data on CD/DVD (multiple copies according to DP/DR plan), also upload this backup data on FTP location
• Assistance to upload to web site, ftp area for customers (according to FTP upload process).
• Download software as requested by staff and Manage downloaded data on network location.
• Manage Hardware/ software inventory, system tags etc according to ISO 9001:2000 standard.
• IT Research and Development and miscellaneous
• Basic CISCO, Kerio Firewall Experience
• Azure/AWS Experience will be a plus point
• Work on miscellaneous R&D tasks that are assigned by IT Manager
• Work on different tasks assigned by IT Manager / immediate boss Capable to handle all low level to medium level tasks.
• Hardware / software configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assisting to buy software and hardware. Assist to co-ordinate with hardware and software vendors. Evaluate the hardware and software to purchase and assist to purchase the hardware after approval from IT Manager.
• Make sure to follow the procedures and task list for IT department according to priority as assigned by IT Manager.

o   Associate to handle IT support & its documentation.

o   Update IT processes and network diagrams.

o   Document IT support & Technical documentation, and other assigned tasks/ data.

o   Document passwords.
