This Lead QA Automation Engineer position will be responsible to lead/manage team members, improving our product, and continuing to produce quality while maintaining our two-week production release sprints.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- To be the primary point of contact between Automation/Regression QA and project management for communicating QA needs and ensuring the necessary resources are allocated.
- To be able to clearly communicate and provide constructive feedback on issues, risks, and concerns to both the QA and project management team.
- Leads from the front and proactively drives the Automation QA team, on a day-to-day basis, to ensure the expected quality levels are understood, achieved, and delivered.
- Effectively pursues critical issues with various projects, builds quality of relevance, and assists with their swift resolution.
- Works with project management on the direction and provides feedback with the best QA approach.
- To be the voice of Regression QA in project meetings and contribute in decision making.
- To be able to support, mentor, and coach the Automation QA team, leading them to reach their full potential.
- Ensures a positive, professional and collaborative team environment.
- Directly participates in reviewing and hiring of new QA staff as and when required.
- Accountable for QA Regression planning, reviews, execution, and sign-off.
- Familiar with API automation testing.
- Ability to use Postman andor Ready-API to execute REST service requests for API testing.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence tools.
- Experience working with Agile delivery models.
- Able to proactively analyze, identify, and communicate problems effectively with excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent at analyzing, researching, and communicating defects of a complex nature to software developers.
- Comfortable and productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to train others using both in-person and long-distance methods such as email, phone, or video conferencing.
- Ability to rapidly ramp up on new tools and technologies.
- Schedule flexibility
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory position
- Coordinate bug fixes/sprint features with the development
- Assist development in issue analysis/debugging, preparing test environment, etc as needed
Education:
- BA/BS in computer engineering or related field preferred, but not required
- High School/GED required
Experience:
- 3+ years software testing experience
- Experience with Test Automation Tools: ATS, Postman, or Selenium are a plus
- Languages: Java, JS, or Python are a plus
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with Jira and Zephyr for Jira preferred but not required
- Experience in working with remote teams
- Experience in supporting technology products to the real estate market (preferred but not required)
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Strong communication skills
