Ashwheelz Pvt Ltd is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our restaurant team. The successful candidate plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient transaction processing by handling cash, operating point-of-sale software, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires an individual who demonstrates honesty, attention to detail, and a capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while accurately maintaining cash records and daily sales reports. Experience working as a cashier in a restaurant or retail setting is highly preferred.
The Cashier interacts directly with customers, assists in managing inventory, and addresses payment-related inquiries with professionalism and clarity. This role demands strong communication skills and problem-solving ability to resolve transactional issues promptly and enhance the overall customer experience. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with basic math operations, inventory management, and performing cash reconciliation to uphold financial accuracy within daily operations. While this position does not involve team management, the candidate will contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of the restaurants front-of-house activities.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS software.
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card payments, ensuring proper transaction recording and cash reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate cash drawers and daily sales reports to prevent discrepancies.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving payment issues.
- Perform basic math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and change due during transactions.
- Manage inventory tracking related to sales and notify management about low stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, payment processing standards, and security protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized cashier station and front-of-house area.
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding operational matters and customer feedback.
- Maintain attention to detail to prevent errors in transaction processing and cash handling.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing time efficiently.
- Adhere to health, safety, and compliance regulations applicable to restaurant operations.
