Initiative Brief:
Skill Gains (Pvt) Limited in collaboration with Oxfam in Pakistan has developed an e-learning platform named “SEEKHO PAKISTAN”. The primary objective of the initiative is to help young people in learning emerging employable skills online. The courses are available in the Urdu language with an interactive learning environment. In addition, provide virtual support and interactive learning (gamification) environment for students to get maximum out of the courses.
Skill Gains (Pvt) Limited has successfully developed the portal. The following courses are part of the learning portal.
· Affiliate marketing
· Facebook Marketing
· Search Engine optimization
· Freelancing
· Life skills
Role of Skill Gains (PVT) Limited:
Skills Gains (Pvt) Limited will be responsible to roll out the portal, not at both the innovation Hubs at Layyah and Jamshoro but will also be responsible to launch it online for wider audience across Pakistan. Position holder not only be responsible for the roll-out in Jamshoro but will also help to devise a strategy to roll it out nationwide.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology/computer or related field.
· Minimum of 2-3-year experience of IT training, freelancing and social media marketing
· Have sound knowledge of SEO, Facebook Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, life skills
· Good knowledge of computer hardware and ability to troubleshoot IT problems.
· Experience with e-Learning technology is essential
· Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and/or confidential information.
· Ability to work well independently and with others
· Strong Communication skills
· Freelancing experience is mandatory (Working with Fiverr and Upwork is preferable)
· Experience in social media marketing
Job Overview:
· The IT instructor/facilitator will support and assist students in their online learning platform at Innovation Hub, Jamshoro.
Responsibilities:
· Support Students with different queries related to their courses and connect them with seekhopakistan.co mentors
· Analyze the training needs of the students and provide appropriate support.
· Support students in bidding for gigs at freelance platforms
· Provide one-to-one training support as and when required via phone and zoom
· Assist students in their learning and provide feedback in relation to homework/projects.
· Maintain attendance record of students and ensure punctuality is followed
· Responsible for remote administration of the computer labs.
· Provide IT (technical) support for the computer lab
· Supervise opening and closing of computer lab and ensure all equipment are fully functional.
· Coordinate with students and assist them in selecting appropriate online assignments.
· Coordinate and support Hub manager in enrolment of new students in the training program
· Share weekly progress of students with the team.
Placement:
The incumbent will be placed at SeekhoPakistan. Co Islamabad office with remote support to Innovation Hub Pakistan in Layyah and Jamshoro. S/He will work in close coordination with Skills Gain (PVT) and Oxfam EYW team.
