A multi-division US transportation company is seeking a seasoned HR professional to manage recruitment, payroll, and overall human resources functions across all business lines and departments. This full-time role is remote, requiring work aligned with US Eastern Standard Time (New York). The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential, along with near-fluent English communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough investigations into HR and employee relations issues, including leading interviews and drafting detailed reports.
- Recommend remedial actions based on investigation findings and produce comprehensive documentation.
- Analyze data from various reporting systems to monitor timely progress and resolution of cases.
- Manage communications with stakeholders related to cases, ensuring appropriate and timely closure.
- Independently handle assigned casework, driving investigations to rapid and definitive conclusions.
- Design, collect, and analyze multiple levels of employee and stakeholder feedback to identify trends.
- Examine aggregate casework data to detect patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with business partners, Corporate Employee Relations teams, Compliance, and Legal departments on complex employee investigations.
- Manage critical, crisis-oriented employee relations issues to ensure successful resolution within defined timeframes and service level agreements.
- Partner in the analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to enhance employee relations and engagement.
- Work with business units to contribute to engagement or cultural plans aimed at improving employee relations and resolving hot spot issues.
- Lead large-scale employee relations and industrial relations projects and engage in complex case resolutions.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding job expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Near-fluent English communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Experience working with US, Canadian, UK, or Australian companies is preferred.
