In close collaboration with the Director, the programme manager will be responsible for the overall technical and operational management of DR-TB project activities. Will work closely with members of multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of interventions and to ensure progress is being achieved towards DR TB project targets. Is responsible for assuring a strong linkage between the public and private health sector approaches of technical assistance in DR TB. Will work closely with project staff, hospital management and health authorities at the national, provincial and district levels to ensure a standard and integrated approach to build the capacity of health workers in diagnosing and managing DR-TB

  • Provide technical and managerial support, including capacity building, to project staff, focusing on quality DR-TB management
  • Maintains close working relationship with the hospital authorities, provincial TB programme and other stakeholders as applicable, and focuses on achieving project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and Coordinate annual DR-TB training work plans
  • Plan, organize, implement and report DR-TB project activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to project and public sector counterparts in monitoring and evaluation of DR-TB project activities
  • Facilitate enhancement and expansion of DR-TB management, care and support strategies and strategic information.
  • Contribute to the DR-TB management /control efforts at the community, district, provincial and national levels, with a special emphasis on implementing Community-based DR-TB care model.
  • Represent the organization in the hospital, district, provincial and national level meetings and DR-TB working groups.
  • Supervise project team in the DR-TB management units established in the selected hospitals
  • Plan and participate in on the job and formal trainings organized by the organization and Donors.
  • Work together with the field and office staff for planning and implementation of the activity plans related to monitoring, supervision and training as per the requirement of the GF grant.
  • Coordinate and assist in the, collection and sharing of relevant information and provide regular written and verbal reports to the Director.
  • Timely prepare and submit to the director monitoring tools and activity reports that would include training, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Share responsibilities of the Director as per the guideline and delegation-level to be given.
  • Perform other duties as required by the  Director
