- Create and maintain functional, performance, stress and endurance tests (cases) by using latest available QA tools.
- Must have experience in writing and executing test cases by using QA tools.
- Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
- Write instructions into computer to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.
- Identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards.
- Set up tests at request of user to locate and correct program operating error following the installation of program.
- Log bugs/ issues/changes etc and their priority and severity and maintain that log.
- Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure the efficiency of operation.
- Review new or modified programs, including documentation, diagram, and flow charts to determine if the program will perform according to user requests and conform to guidelines.
- Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
- May evaluate proposed software or software enhancement for feasibility.
