This person is responsible for all aspects of application planning, execution and support including administration, maintenance, configuring and updating the system, integration, disaster recovery, change control, providing technical support, implementing new functionality, process improvement, application standards and best practices. Serves business process expert supporting all aspects of the financial systems.
Primary Duties:
- Great Plains upgrade/Migration Experience
- Leads initiatives to increase overall Dynamics Great Plains (GP) functionality, lower costs, and evolve internal tools within quick timelines
- Supports GP environments including Development, Test, Disaster Recovery and Production
- Continuous improvement of configurations and processes
- Administers security roles and tasks
- Manages change control process to ensure stability of the system; administers the quality assurance
- Implements standards and procedures for administration activities
- Works with other members of the team to ensure POS/Inventory system is in sync with GP
- Assists in solving production problems in a timely manner, including off hours and weekend support when necessary
- Troubleshoots database and application errors
- Installs, configures, upgrades and integrates third party applications and tools as needed
- Serves as the application subject matter expert for daily support initiatives
- Writes SQL scripts, queries, and ad hoc reports
- Monitors application health, runs tests to diagnose problems, and takes action to fix internal software, third party add-ons, and SQL Server database
- Great Plains related Visual Basic application development and support
- Other duties as required and assigned
