- Skills in the following areas will be advantageous in this role:
- Ability to work with GNU/Linux environments
- Python 3
- Django
- Docker (Compose)
- Git
- Comfortable with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Experience with SQL databases (NoSQL knowledge desirable)
- Experience with Python Dependency management
- Experience writing API/Project documentation (Swagger (Open API)/Sphinx or similar
- Knowledge of queue/worker-based technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS) etc
- Ability to debug and maintain existing legacy code as well as develop new functionality and services to meet requirements within a service-oriented architecture
- Good knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented development, design patterns and coding best practices
- Skills listed below are desirable but by no means essential. You’re enthusiasm and passion for the role are far more important:
- Django -> Jinja
- Knowledge of RESTful design
- Experience with pytest/unittest or similar
- Experience with Gitlab (CI) or similar
- The successful candidate will have experience in the following areas
Technical skills:
- Good knowledge of Python Development any of the below are beneficial.
- Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- A good working knowledge of Python
- Node.JS
- Experience with Object Oriented programming methodologies and software design principles
- Experience using Wagtail CMS
- Experience working with version control systems (eg GIT)
