  • We are looking for a Technical Director to join the senior leadership team.
  • Help us deliver a seamless patient and workforce experience both digitally & operationally using Digital First approach across UK and in the process of branching out to across UK and in international market.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for senior technologists to gain exposure to a rapidly growing and scaling health tech company, operating as a business leader and a hands-on technologist.
  • You will be providing technical guidance to the wider IT team and creating roadmaps for the business to scale over the coming years.

The Role

  •  As the Technical Director you will be responsible for the solution design and architecture of the product.
  • This will include product evaluation, technology impact assessment, product blueprint and HLD, functional design oversight and development of the product.
  •  You will have ownership of product architecture, technical output, technical strategies the all technical teams - Hands-on leadership of teams across Engineering, QA, Test, Architecture, DevOps, UX/UI and technical support.  Work with other business teams and departments to ensure development and outputs are high.

  • Database ( MySQL and, PostGreSQL )
  • Data Warehousing for reporting (use of tools such Power BI, SQL and Big data tools Hadoop MongoDB)
  • Experience of working with AWS
  • Experience of managing large and complex teams of developers and engineers, with an encourage all attitude to promote contribution from all team members and departments
  • Oversees budgets to make sure there are no unnecessary expenditures
  • Evaluates technology and makes recommendations on technological solutions and products
  • Adopts a forward thinking and problem-solving attitude along with a customer first approach to the products
  • Consistently evaluates technical efficiency and makes changes as necessary
  • Makes presentations to other senior management members
  •  Identifies competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of the company
  • Directs the development and possible implementation of policies in instances of a breach, also known as disaster recovery plans
  •  Building and scaling up teams to match with business growth, onshore and offshore teams.
  •  Liaising with all areas of the business to align Technology roadmaps with those of Product to deliver to business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of Director level or CTO level position with Track record of leading technical teams in a fast-paced environment with 10 years of experience in technology development environment
  • Experience designing, integrating complex solutions (multi-platform, multi-technology, 3rd parties) with high information governance standards.
  •   Proven experience of leading technological teams during change.
  •  Experience of creating drive and motivation among tech professionals.
  • Ability to understand the requirements of a growing organisation.
  • Motivated in developing new products and services and challenging the status quo.
  • Customer-centric (B2B & B2C) approach.
  •  Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on growth.
  • Experience working with both internal and outsourced teams.
  • Senior management experience in a scale-up operation.
  • Experience of Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycles.
  •  Experience implementing cloud solutions – IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Experience in the application of technology to business processes and to have a good understanding of medical health as an industry.
  • Experience working on integration technologies and a good understanding of API design patterns and frameworks, micro services, API gateways, API security etc.
