As a graphic designer you'll need to listen to clients and understand their needs before making design decisions.
If you have not designed professional logos before please do not apply you will be making up 12-18 logo concepts a day so experience is required you must be able to work fast.
A graphic designer works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites artwork, advertising, books, magazines, posters, computer games, product packaging, moving logos, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, i.e. giving organisations a visual 'brand'.
You'll work to a brief agreed with the client, director or account manager and will develop creative ideas and concepts. The appropriate media and style has to be chosen to meet the client's objectives.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, and deadlines.

Salary
Salaries will be paid on a four week basis directly into a bank account. This is a self employment based contract. Auric digital will not be liable for any taxes you have to pay, you are solely responsible to comply with the tax authorities that govern you and their regulations.

Working hours
Working hours are typically 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 20:00 usually with some flexibility around start and finish times. Extra hours are likely when deadlines are approaching.

Qualifications
Relevant subjects for graphic design work include those that involve visual arts. In particular, a degree or HND in the following subjects may increase your chances:
Any design-based course will give you a good grounding and knowledge of design, art history and printing techniques.
This role doesn't require a degree or HND, as job offers may be based on the standard of portfolio work and not on educational qualifications. However qualifications maybe advantageous.
Candidate must have GCSE/O Level English & Maths at Grade B or higher or equivalent. At least 2 A-levels at Grade B or equivalent.
Skills
Apart from technical and drawing skills, you will need to show:
Work experience
Must have a portfolio of your work in PDF format or JPEG Format. You will be subject to a test of graphic designing/illutsration skills upon selection. Portfolio Must Span over minimum 3 years worth of designing and should contain at least 25 different pieces of work Work experience at a company will be advantageous but not necessary portfolio of your own work is however required.
