We are looking for a Senior database developer to work with us on a long term project. What we are looking for is someone who is comfortable working in Linux environment specially centos/redhat as comfortable with basic troubleshooting of various packages in Linux.
We have MYSQL databases and also some Cassandra, MongoDB, oracle data stores.
Our schema in MYSQL is complicated and we do alot programming to move data around, this sometimes involve data aggregation, extraction, transformation. In both normalised and static data. There are number of extractions based on Foreign keys and relationships and therefore experience with understanding Database schema is of top priority.
There will be number of scriting jobs that you may get into for example One day you would be writing a Bash script to take MYSQL backups and other day using Python to do ETL and data movement.
We are looking for solid bash and python skills, with someone who can script with eyes closed. Quality of scripting is also very important to us and you may be a sort of person who think on its feet.
Besides knowledge of scripting languages, we are also looking for your experience in migrations, specially moving data from one data store to another. Any experience with ETL would be highly desireable.
Experience around NOSQL databases is also an asset. Installation, configuration, schema design and scripting.
Essentials:
Good knowledge of Linux, ssh scp e.t.c
Advance database scripting using SQL and NOSQL
Advance knowldge of Python and Bash
Knowledge of MYSQL databases is a must to have including configuration and SQL
Immediate start for the right candidate. This is work from home job with working hours are 12.30pm -10.30PM, Mon-Fri.
