Awais Cheema Associates Design and Build is seeking a motivated and creative Fresh AutoCAD Operator to join our professional team located in Naval Anchorage, Islamabad. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or new professional with a solid foundation in AutoCAD drafting, particularly in 2D. This role focuses on producing accurate architectural and construction drawings that meet regulatory standards and support residential and commercial project development. As a part of a small team of two persons, the AutoCAD Operator will collaborate closely with senior architects and engineers to assist with project-related tasks, enhance drafting accuracy, and contribute to the design and planning phases of projects.
The role requires a keen interest in modern house design concepts and a basic understanding of architectural drawings and residential planning. The candidate should demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective coordination within the team and consistent compliance with CDA and RDA bylaws and standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD software to support project planning and execution.
- Assist senior architects and the design team by providing accurate drafting layouts, plans, and elevations that align with project specifications.
- Modify and update architectural drawings and designs as needed based on feedback and project development.
- Coordinate drafting activities according to project workflows and ensure timely delivery of drawing documentation.
- Verify compliance of all drawings with applicable CDA and RDA bylaws, regulations, and architectural standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, maintaining clear communication and contributing to a cooperative work environment.
- Develop a strong understanding of residential and commercial architectural design principles through ongoing learning and hands-on experience.
- Utilize additional design software such as SketchUp to support 3D modeling tasks when required.
- Support quality assurance efforts by cross-checking drawings for accuracy and consistency before submissions.
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation to ensure efficient project management and retrieval of information.
