We are looking for an English Proofreader & Editor, who can meticulously identify grammatical and spelling errors in written materials.

Job Responsibilities:
- Proofread and edit written materials by reviewing copy to detect errors in spelling, vocabulary, punctuation, overall grammar, referencing style, syntax, and verifying facts and data. Be the last line of defense in checking quality of materials.
- Ensure the use of appropriate tone and guideline as per the website/service or type of content required. / Ensure the right words and content appear at the right time in the user experience, accounting for demographics, personas, and other factors
- Proofreading layouts for spacing, typography, widows, margins, line wraps and formatting In-depth review and utilize standard proof readers’ marks. Checking presence of word count in each section as per the marks allotment
- Sharp eye in comparing documents to source material
- Ability to track, organize, and prioritize workload on multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously with general direction and minimal guidance
- Training and coordinating with team of editors & content writers for the timely completion of the assigned tasks.
- To meet the benchmark regularly for assigned tasks while adhering to pre-defined quality standards.
- Ensure high-quality content, proofreading and editing of content before submission while catering to all the revisions when required.
- Check formatting to ensure style tags are correctly applied from the document template and rephrase sentences to ensure conciseness, clarity, smooth transition, and within-paragraph flow.
- Highly organized with an ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handle multiple projects with total accuracy and attention to detail.
- Share ideas and opinions to improve the quality of our internal processes & procedures.
- Has the ability to detect content flow issues, tone issues, sentence-structuring issues and mainly if everything is right - can identify if the content submitted is conceptualized the right way as required in the project instructions.
Job Requirements:
- Preference will be given to those with a strong writing portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of proven work experience as an Editor & Proof reader
- Has know-how about different formats of writing (SEO, Product descriptions, blogs, and other)
- Must have Excellent English language skills.
- Able to write plagiarism free content
- Ability to flawlessly proofread and edit content while meeting deadlines.
- Must be acquainted with grammatical rules and quality sentence structure.
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must be acquainted with British and American spellings.
