BATIK is looking for a suitable candidate to fill fashion designer’s position in its production house in Islamabad. Position may include but not limited to performing following tasks.
- Managing design process from conception through sample finalization to mass production in the production house.
- Selecting Fabric and embellishments and other items for the design as given by the designers.
- Managing and keeping record of required issuance for design from respective inventory stores.
- Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. coordinating on patterns & technical specifications and other technicalities for designs in process.
- Sourcing, selecting or coordinating on buying trims and embellishments and other items applied on designs
- Keeping the HO /Design team updated on the designs in process at different stages.
- Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques and seeking new innovations in production process enhancing product value.
- Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes
- Any other related task as assigned by the management.
