- Understand hybrid and grid tied photovoltaic system design (100KW-5MW AC)
- Use solar modeling software to provide accurate energy production estimates
- Specify system components, prepare one-line electrical drawings and site plans using AutoCAD software for utility interconnection, permitting and construction drawings
- Generate pricing for complex commercial solar projects
- Work closely with the Development Team, Civil Engineers, Surveyors to assist with technical guidance and refine project design to overcome site-specific challenges
- Work closely with operations team and project managers to provide design support prior to and during construction
- Motivating and encouraging internal and external design teams
- Ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality and are easy to decipher
- Avoiding errors and reducing financial risk
- Ensuring designs are available to those who need them, at the appropriate time
