We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Azure to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions on the cloud using Azure services. Your primary focus will be developing on Azure Synapse Analytics (and its components), ensuring efficient data engineering practices and seamless data pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data engineering solutions on the Azure cloud platform, and more specifically on Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Build scalable, secure, and robust ETL processes and data pipelines using Azure Synapse Pipeline or Azure Data Factory.
- Implement data transformations, data integration, and data quality processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability on Azure cloud platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Optimize performance and scalability of data engineering solutions on Azure.
- Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and support.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure data engineering.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Proficiency in writing efficient ETL processes and data pipelines using Azure Synapse Pipeline or Azure Data Factory.
- High proficiency in the SQL language
- Experience with data integration, data transformation, and data quality processes.
- Understand implementation techniques for ingesting batch and streaming data
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality data engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Having Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate would be preferred.
- Experience with Python programming language
- Familiarity with database systems like SQL and NoSQL
- Familiarity with Azure Spark and/or Azure Databricks
