Job Brief

We are looking for an experienced Investment analyst to undertake financial research and report on prospective investment avenues in Islamabad Property market and stock exchange. The successful candidate will study how an investment is likely to perform and how sustainable it is. You will participate in our sound portfolio-management strategy by providing the necessary data for our decision making process.

Responsibilities:

  • The most important task of an investment analyst is to conduct extensive research and analysis of the investment portfolios of individuals or companies. Based on this analysis, the analysts create a report that provides solutions or ideas to the fund managers to enhance or diversify the portfolio.
  • conducting due diligence on companies and industries by researching, reading financial statements and market data;
  • analyzing financial information relating to specific companies, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how an organization is positioned to deliver for investors;
  • keeping up to date with market developments, new investment products and all other areas that can affect the markets, e.g. movements in the economies of relevant countries;
  • considering how the economic implications of factors such as natural disasters, weather, wars, etc. might affect the performance of companies and funds;
  • monitoring the financial news using specialist media sources;
  • financial modelling and projection;
  • Research relevant economic, demographic, and location analysis of property.
  • Provides statistical and analytical reports as directed.
  • They also need to take some key investment decisions based upon the research data.
  • drafting and writing research reports for fund manager or client use;
  • meeting with and providing information to fund managers; this might include, summaries of research, investment ideas, key events from the proceeding day as well as key drivers for the day ahead;
  • making recommendations to fund managers, being able to position ideas and articulate to the fund manager about the risk or payoff for each recommendation;
  • Ensuring that all compliance regulations are met.
  • Look back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision
  • Liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
  • Develop complex financial models and analyze legal documents
  • Gather information about the client investments to assist with valuation.
  • Research appropriate industry guidelines and regulations as needed.
  • Provide information and data in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Analyze value building activities to prepare appraisal reports.
  • Investment analysts must be well-oriented about the financial set-up and procedures along with a good understanding of statistics and economics.
  • As part of their work profile, investment analysts need to work in tandem with either in-house fund managers or stockbrokers.
  • Coordinates the planning, financing, construction and/or management of housing development projects requiring advanced analysis and management techniques.
  • Coordinates the clearance of property; prepares and maintains building disposition records, parcel checklists, and related documents.
  • Conducts field examinations of property to identify and assess natural resources values, including land, water.
  • Maintains records, and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as an Investment analyst
  • Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
