Position: QA Manager
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Bester Capital Media is hiring for a QA Manager that demonstrates QA excellence, team building and people management. This role requires a person who will observe, study, and create processes around the best practices to ensure high product quality at top velocity. This is a highly empowered role at the crossroads of a QA Architect and a mentor.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject MANDATORY
- Proven work experience in Real estate domain (PropTech) MANDATORY
- Proven leadership experience in software development (Agile/Scrum) and software quality assurance MANDATORY
7+ years of prior experience in the QA function and willingness to lead with a compelling perspective on how to integrate various methodologies.MANDATORY
- 5+ years experienced in testing applications across platforms (Web/IOS/Android) MANDATORY
- 7+ years’ experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases MANDATORY
- Expertise in building processes, identifying KPIs and measurable goals and having the tactical hands-on knowledge of using a combination of interlinked manual and automation testing techniques.
MANDATORY
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Hands-on experience with both automated testing tools, white box and black box testing
Expert knowledge of SQL MANDATORY
- Expert in performance and/or security testing
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence or other tools used in Agile environments
Responsibilities
- Facilitate in defining and communicating the vision and strategy for the team, identify technologies and processes to be used in QA, and lead the focus and success of the team.
- Stay relevant in field, aware-of and assesses-how QA trends impact the organization goals and teams’ performance.
- Demonstrate necessary depth across the entire QA domain, to be able to influence the technical decisions with and for the team success.
- Review specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured processes and standards to write test cases and plans.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts for automated testing.
- Practical demonstration of estimation techniques, release management, automation tools, SQL and scripting, and commonly used remedial actions.
- Ability to work in cross-functional environment with remote teams.
- Interacting with product teams, review the road-maps and determine the important versus the purely urgent to effectively prioritize work based on long-term value to the business.
- Possessing the ability to break product requirements down to the ticket level executable units and organize work for the team to provide consistent timelines with quality.
- Drive outcomes, assess risk, track and communicate progress effectively all the while ensuring that their team is appropriately staffed to execute on plans while avoiding burnout.
