Biafo Industries Limited is seeking an experienced IT Executive who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to make us more efficient. In this role, you will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training to our employees.
Objectives of this Role
· To develop formal IT strategy which align the business strategy to meet the corporate goals and objectives.
· Maintain essential IT operations including operating systems, security tools, surveillance system, RFID system, applications, servers, email systems, domain, website, active directory, backup solutions, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware trouble shooting at head office and plant.
· Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software and suggest future roadmap and implement solution in order to align the company with best IT practices.
· Develop formal DRP Plan for all the critical applications processing and data processing services in order to support the business operations fully functional.
· Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
· Regular Periodic review on network and data security
· Designing/managing training programs for staff
· Monitoring and controlling IT expenses and budgets
Responsibilities
· Analyze organizational needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions
· Develop and analyze organizational future needs (Office automation, office collaboration tools (SharePoint), papers less environment, business software’s), and suggest strategies
· Continuously analyze current process and technologies to identify areas of improvement
· Prepare business case including cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs
· Ensure network components (LAN/WAN/VPN and wireless setups) meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
· Managing in-house IT help desk
· Manage and monitor in-house surveillance system and RFID System and its secure backup.
· Manage and create company domain, active directory, email servers and administer policies enabling secure environment.
· Manage in-house website, its upgradation from time to time and coordinator with service provider.
· Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
· Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures, and maintain data backups
· Provide technical support to employees in case of hardware/software failure.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science
· 5+ years’ experience in IT management
· Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
· Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
