Bilytica is a leading Data Science and Machine Learning company based in Australia and having its offices in more than 25 countries. For our Pakistan office we are looking to hire Senior Databased Administrator for our new Oracle implementation project in Middle East.
The Team You’ll Impact
Our Database Administration team at Bilytica Pakistan office supports and optimizes our data flow throughout all of our environments: from development, to staging, to production for our Oracle implementation.
The Work You’ll Do
As a Database Administrator, you will focus on our Oracle database servers that support our clients Oracle instances.
More specifically, you will:
- Provide real-time monitor of Oracle server databases
- Coordinate database tape backup/restore operations
- Perform databases space usage monitoring; tablespace, provide space grow estimates based on usage patterns and business growth
- Work with Development Team to improve/optimize the applications usage of database resources
- Proactively maintain the overall health of the database servers
- Provide on call 24x7 as required by on-call schedule and/or necessity of database dependent teams who may need support outside of regular business hours
- Configure, implement and provide tier 1, 2 and 3 support for incident resolution
Our products handle millions of transactions per day and service half of the Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. As a DBA on our team, you will ensure that we are able to deliver excellent service.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area OR 4 + years for Oracle database administration
- Oracle 12 C Database Administration skills - focus on Oracle Linux/ Exadata platforms
- Oracle 12C Performance tuning, understand PL/SQL
- Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager)
- Oracle DataGuard Plus
- Understanding of Real Application Clusters (RAC)
