Job Description

The Video Editor is responsible for all post-production video editing, media asset archiving and management. The Video Editor will help conceptualise ideas and assemble media assets into high-quality content that supports our various production objectives. A good sense of composition, type layout, animation, and pacing is required.

Responsibilities

• Post-production and final delivery of video product that includes marketing videos, commercials, user conference videos, and more

• Evaluate and select scenes for dramatic pacing, entertainment value and continuity

• Trim shots, edit programs to specified lengths, and assemble segments in a way that presents a story with maximum effect

• Review programs for quality control and make corrections; technical and editorial

• Modify video or audio levels as required by quality control standards

• Develop and maintain post-production processes and guidelines

• Troubleshoot technical issues as required

• Stay abreast of trending techniques in video production and apply that knowledge to video production at

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience in video editing

• Expert level experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Motion / After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience working in or education in Marketing is required

• Ability to transform creative ideas and concepts into dynamic visual content

• Knowledge of hardware/software required for video and audio format conversion and compression

• Understanding of video file formats, video analysis and metadata

• Solid foundation with all aspects of video post production, media archiving and management

• Technical knowledge of editing systems, sound design, color correction, video production and codec compression standards

• Understanding of current video trends and platforms

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively and professionally interact within a team environment

• Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to always improve skills and who can work independently with limited supervision

• Ability to be flexible in schedule and adapt to constant change

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to change directions quickly while maintaining a positive attitude and retaining the highest caliber of work

• Must have the ability to organize workload, manage priorities, meet deadlines and work well within a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

• Regular attendance and a regular work schedule is an essential function of this job
